What is the Nia Technique?

Nia is a path to condition your body, mind, emotions & spirit through movement & music. A dynamic blend of dance, martial arts & healing practices, Nia has helped bodies for over 30 years.  In over 45 countries, Nia is enjoyed by millions of bodies around the globe and maybe yours too!

NiaWith the philosophy, Stay healthy through movement, Nia teaches you to stay aware of your body through class to get the right results & feel empowered.  Teacher led routines are carefully designed for the design of the human body to make sure all of you receives the fitness it needs where it needs it–stability, mobility, strength or flexibility.

Practiced barefoot to a variety of  continuous music, you choose your intensity, adapting Nia’s 52 moves for your needs.  Nia movements are simple & easy to learn.

Best of all, Nia is energizing & enjoyable and fosters a great sense of community.

My mission is to create a movement class that makes living in your body more joyful, authentic & healthy.

A key to Nia’s success is that it puts the movement back into fitness, resulting in functional daily ease. It conditions the body without boring the mind. Nia combines exercise with healing – for body, mind and soul – while enjoying the class community.

Some immediately fall in love with Nia.

Others are intrigued, yet a little unsure of the exercise that includes personal style, and connecting deeper. That’s why I offer a four (4) week trial for new students!

The one thing I have come to trust – Nia gets results and works to condition & integrate on many levels – that’s Nia’s strength.
